Alma Boyer

December 15, 1941 — October 13, 2016

          Alma June Boyer of Potosi, Missouri was born on December 15, 1941 in Potosi, Missouri.  She was a daughter of the late, Stella Florence (Lyons) Charboneau and the late, Alton Eugene Charboneau.  Alma departed this life on October 13, 2016 at her residence having reached the age of seventy-four years, nine months and twenty-eight days.

          Alma was united in marriage to Joseph Butch Boyer on February 6, 1960 in Old Mines, Missouri and this union was blessed with four children.

          Alma is survived by one daughter, Diana Farmer and husband, Scott of Branson, Missouri; one son, Joseph Boyer of Potosi, Missouri; three sisters, Doris Emily and husband, Norman of Mount Pleasant, Michigan; Margaret Breakfield and husband, Russell of Potosi, Missouri; Alice Vandergriff and husband Kenneth of Mineral Point, Missouri; two brothers, Joseph Charboneau and wife, Mary of St. Angelo, Texas; Mike Charboneau and wife, Theresa of Mineral Point, Missouri; six grandchildren: Tracy and husband, Tom Fairbairn of Springfield, Missouri; Julie and husband, Joe Winget of Springfield, Missouri; Zach Farmer and Danica of Branson, Missouri; Jodi Boyer of Pacific, Missouri; Lacey and husband, Anthony Drennen of Park Hills, Missouri; Courtney Boyer of Festus, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren: Grace, Sophia, Chandler, Jayce, Blake, Scarlett, Seth, Sam and Landon; also surviving are other relatives and many friends.  In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Butch Boyer, two sons, Timothy Wayne Boyer, David James Boyer, one sister, Margorie Charboneau, one brother, Larry Charboneau and one grandson Jeremy Seth Boyer.

          Alma loved to cook for all of her family and friends and she was a cook for Potosi School District for thirty-eight years.  She always look forward to visiting and socializing with everyone.  She enjoyed dancing and embroidering many beautiful things.  Alma was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and grew up in the Pleasant Hill Christian Church.  She was a very faithful woman who loved everyone and will be deeply missed. 

          Visitation was held Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Monday, October 17, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

          A Funeral Service was held Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Jarvis officiating.

          Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.  Serving as pallbearers were: Scott Farmer, Zach Farmer, Bill Barton, Mike Charboneau, Russell Breakfield, Norman Emily, Kenneth Vandergriff, Jim Boyer, Jesse Caron, Kenneth “Ping” Coleman and honorary pallbearers, Joe Carboneau, Jayce Canter, Blake Combs, Seth Boyer, Landon Boyer and Sammy Boyer.
