Obituary for Judy Moyers (Cresswell)
Judith Mildred Moyers of Potosi, Missouri was born on April 11, 1948 in Potosi, Missouri. A daughter of the late, George Walter Cresswell and the late, Mary Ellen (Morgan) Cresswell. Judy departed this life on June 20, 2017 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of sixty-nine years, two months and nine days.
Judy is survived by her son, Todd Moyers and his wife, Toria of Potosi, Missouri; four grandchildren, Trey Moyers and his mother, Trina of Belgrade, Missouri; Devan DeClue of Potosi, Missouri; Cassidy DeClue of Potosi, Missouri; Karson Summers of Potosi, Missouri; the father of her son, Garry Moyers of Potosi, Missouri; dear friend, Albert Ayres of Potosi, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and many many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Joseph Cresswell and George William “Bill” Cresswell.
Judy was very dedicated to serving Washington County, she worked for the County for twenty-eight years and served as the Recorder of Deeds for fourteen years and was a member of the Missouri Recorders Association. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Browne Chapter and of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church and St. James Catholic Church. Judy was a selfless person who was always putting other first. She knew no stranger and always enjoyed talking with everyone. Judy’s greatest love was her family and spending time with her grandson, Trey. Judy was a remarkable person, not only for her longevity, but also for the intensity and clarity of focus with which she lived her life. She will always be remembered for the love she shared.
Visitation was held Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, June 23, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Jerry Morgan, Jerry Sansegraw, Dale Sansegraw, Jeff Higgingbothan, Perry Farrow and Rob Neier.
