Deanna Horton (Birdsall)
Deanna Mae Horton of Irondale, Missouri was born on June 11, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri. A daughter of the late, Mildred Carrie Mae (Puckett) Birdsall and the late, Soloman Birdsall. Deanna departed this life on August 16, 2017 having reached the age of seventy-eight years, two months and five days.
Deanna was united in marriage to Kenneth Harlan Horton on April 10, 1954 in Irondale, Missouri and they were blessed with eight children.
Deanna is survived by three daughters, Debbie Groves and husband, John of Bonne Terre, Missouri; Donna Waln and husband, Stephen of Cuba, Missouri; Sandra Davis and husband, Terry of Irondale, Missouri; five sons, James Horton and friend, Bonnie of Lake Hanna, Missouri; Charles Horton of Lake Hanna, Missouri; Daniel Horton of Terre Du Lac, Missouri; Jay Horton of Irondale, Missouri; Patrick Horton and wife, Teresa of Terre Du Lac, Missouri; a grandson who was raised in the home, Brandon Horton of Irondale, Missouri; one sister, Nancy Ives of Irondale, Missouri; two brothers, James Estes and wife, Clare Ann of Louisville, Kentucky; William “Bill” Estes and wife, Betty of St. Louis, Missouri; twenty grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Horton.
Deanna lived for her family and cherished every moment she had with them. She taught Sunday school classes and was very active in church when her health was good. She enjoyed working with the elderly and had a heart of gold. Deanna was a very loving, caring woman who will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation was held Monday, August 21, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri and also Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Irondale Assembly of God Church.
A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Irondale Assembly of God Church with Brother Paul Keith, Brother Paul Davis and Reverend J.C. Moore officiating.
Final prayers and burial took place in the Big River Cemetery in Irondale, Missouri.
