Marian Hornsey of Potosi, Missouri, was born November 30, 1912, in Irondale, Missouri, a daughter of the late William and Nettie (Trauernicht) Conzelman. Marian departed this life at her residence on February 1, 2018, having reached the age of 105 years, 2 months and 2 days.
Marian was united in marriage to the late Walter Hornsey on May 18, 1937, in Cuba, Missouri.
Marian is survived by one daughter, Catherine Hornsey of House Springs, Missouri, and one son William “Bill” Hornsey and wife Judi of Madison, Alabama, nine grandchildren, Elise Degonia (Eddie Graves) of Potosi, MO, Don Hornsey, Jr., of Farmington, MO, Ann (James) Manlove of DeSoto, MO, Tammy Hornsey (Craig McCabe) of Crystal City, MO, Debbie (Brent) Boyer of Potosi, MO, Sandy (Wayne) Snyder of Cadet, MO, Brenda (Chuck) Thebeau of Potosi, MO, Glenda Hornsey of Valle Mines, MO, Audrey (Tim) Sampson of Cadet, Mo 22 Great Grandchildren, 14 Great Great Grandchildren and by many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Marian was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hornsey, two daughters, Virginia Ruth Garrett and Patricia Ann Degonia, one son, Donald Curtis Hornsey, three sisters, Eva Lorene Conzelman, Ruth Kappler, Anita Daisey, one brother, William Conzelman and by two grandsons, Jeffrey Scott Hornsey and Christopher Allen Boyer.
Marian lived a long beautiful life guided by her faith and love for her savior, Jesus Christ, she was a member of St. James Catholic Church and gave her time willingly by volunteering for many of the church events. Marian had a great love for her family and enjoyed cooking for them and spending time together and playing cards.
