George Wall, Jr.
George Edward Wall Jr. of Hillsboro, MO was born September 11, 1950 in Bonne Terre, MO, a son of the late George Edward Wall Sr. and the late Helen Aly Wall. George departed this life on February 19, 2018 at his residence, having reached the age of sixty-seven years, five months and eight days.
George is survived by; two daughters, Stacy Ely and husband Trent of Farmington, MO, Susann Veraldi of Ferndale, MI; four sisters, Margaret Peters of Festus, MO, Kathleen Kinnison of Festus, MO, Sharon Sansoucie of Cadet, MO, Judy Wall of Washington, MO; special niece, Carissa “Hotrod” Skiles; special nephew, Steven “Bill” Portell; many other nieces, nephews and dear, special friends. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by; seven sisters, Glenda Reando, Dorothy Portell, Joyce Christopher, Melanie Wall, George Ann Cash, Rebecca Queen, Helen “Chickie” Benson; one brother, Timothy Wall.
George was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam from September 1970 to January 1972. He continued his service in the United States Army Reserves until September 1976. George was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device. During his service his specialty was crawler track operator and bulldozer operator.
George was an active member of St. Joachim Catholic Church. During the last few years he dedicated his time to raising funds to install a flag, flag pole, memorial monument and special area at the St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery, in honor of all veterans.
George enjoyed the many gifts of Mother Nature, especially fishing. He always looked forward to having family get togethers and spending time with his many and special friends.
