Obituary for Billie (Tucker) Lawson

Billie (Tucker) Lawson
Billie Ruth (Tucker) Lawson of Mineral Point was born January 4, 1935 in Herculaneum, Missouri a daughter of the late William Alonzo Tucker and Edna Claire (Wade) Tucker-Hopkins. Billie Ruth departed this life on Monday, May 7. 2018 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, surrounded by her dear and loving family. Billie was eighty-three years, four months and three days of age.
Billie Ruth is survived by one daughter, Crystal Lawson and her partner Angie Burke of St. Charles; four sons, Reuben Lonnie Lawson and his wife Jayne of Potosi, Marion Lynn Lawson and his wife Carol of Mount Vernon, Indiana, Jeff Lawson and his wife Melissa of Park Hills and James Anthony Lawson of Mineral Point; twelve grandchildren, nineteen plus one unborn baby Huff great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, special niece, Pam Harris of DeSoto and nieces, nephews and by many other dear and special relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Wilbert “Red” Lawson, one daughter, Rebecca Ruth Lawson, one son, Larry Allen Lawson, one granddaughter, Chasity “Nikki” Lawson and one great granddaughter, Carlie Ann Nicole Huff, one sister, Ruby Jean Connor and one brother, James David Tucker.
Billie Ruth was a member of the Springtown Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time in the out of doors with Mother Nature. She was an avid animal lover, puzzle book worker and loved collecting ceramic chickens. She would relax listening to gospel music and old country music especially Don Williams.
Her greatest love in life was her family. She always cherished the time together making memories, sharing stories and she always had a shoulder to lean on and kind words to heal. Her children and grandchildren were the sparkle of her eye and she was so proud of each as they grew up in life.
