James Russel Breakfield of Potosi, Missouri, was born August 25, 1946, in Shirley, Missouri, a son of the late Freddie and Almeda Jane (Hollinsworth) Breakfield. Russel departed this life November 20, 2018, having reached the age of 72 Years, 2 Months and 26 Days.
Russel was united in marriage to Margaret Charboneau on November 13, 1965, in Shirley, Missouri.
Russel is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Margaret Breakfield of Potosi, MO, two daughters, Janet Bourbon and husband Keith of Potosi, MO and Donna Seiberlich and husband Jason of Potosi, MO, two sisters, Mildred Campbell and husband Tom of Cuba, MO, Vivian Ledbetter and husband Charles of Cuba, MO, four sisters-in law, Bessie Breakfield of Potosi, MO, Nancy Charboneau of St. Peters, MO, Doris Emily and husband Norman of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Alice Vandergriff and husband Kenny of Mineral Point, MO, four brothers, Beaufard Breakfield and wife Betty of Potosi, MO, Montie Breakfield and companion Norma of Mineral Point, MO, David Breakfield and wife Mary of Green River, WY, Darrell Breakfield and wife Baby Lyn of Potosi, MO, two brothers-in-law, Joe Charboneau and wife Mary of St. Angelo, TX, Mike Charboneau and wife Theresa of Mineral Point, MO, eight grandchildren, Ethan Cain, Elyssa Cain, Matti Cook, Kaitlyn Buck and husband Dennis, Lacy Seiberlich, Heidi Seiberlich, Dustin Sandefur and wife Jennie, Jimmie Bourbon and wife Desiree, five great grandchildren, Devon, Wyatt, Bryce, Amelia and Cooper. In addition to his parents, Russel was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ed Breakfield and Virgil Breakfield, two sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Breakfield and Alma June Boyer, two brothers-in-law, Larry Charboneau and Butch Boyer.

Russel had served his country in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Santa Ana, California. He served active duty from January 18, 1966 to January 17, 1968 and then was in the Marine Corps reserves until being honorably discharged January 17, 1972. Russell was very proud of his military career and remained military minded and patriotic throughout his life.
Russel was a member of the Potosi Southern Baptist Church and was very dedicated to his church family and its many activities, he also had served as Deacon. Russel enjoyed the many gifts that Mother Nature provided especially hunting and fishing. He greatly enjoyed old cars, traveling and was an avid golfer. After his retirement from Chrysler, Russel enjoyed working with his many friends in the local area, especially Gary Toombs.
His family, especially his grandchildren, was his life, he always had time for each of them and would always smile whenever they would enter his home.
