Rachel Mary Warden

Rachel Warden of Potosi, Missouri was born on Tuesday, August 19, 1919 in Fertile, Missouri a daughter of the late, Mary L. (Missey) Sansoucie and Howard C. Sansoucie. Rachel departed this life at the NHC Healthcare Center, Desloge, Missouri having reached the age of ninety years and nine months.
Rachel was united in marriage to James Warden on January 17, 1942 in Fertile, Missouri.
Rachel is survived by one son, Vernon J. Warden and wife, Phyllis of Potosi, Missouri; three grandchildren, Beth Bradley, Tracy Nappier, Denise Walton; seven great grandchildren, Andrea, Derek, Justin, Marcus, Melinda, Brett, Sydney; six great great grandchildren, Landon, Matthew, Trenton, Olivia, Noah and Carter. In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, James Warden, one son, Richard Joseph Warden, three sisters, Edna Agers, Mildred Williams, Freda Boyer, three brothers, Leonard Sansoucie, Chester Sansoucie and Sonny Sansoucie.
Rachel enjoyed spending time outdoors going camping, fishing and gardening. It always brought her joy when she got to watch the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball. Rachel loved her family and spending time with them. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was held Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Monday, May 24, 2010 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, May 24, 2010 at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating.
Honoring Rachel by serving as pallbearers were: Justin Crocker, Derek Walton, Marcus Walton, Keith Williams, Danny Boyer and Gary Warden.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
