The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jeanette Scates can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Lois Rigel
Condolence: There was just the two of us, sisters, Jeanette Fern and Lois Jean, born to our parents Clifford and Margaret(LaMotte)Tiefenauer. Jeanette was 8 1/2 years older than I.
It seemed to me that Jeanette could do everything. She had attended a private girls school, St. Elizabeth Academy. There she learned Latin, secretarial skills, played the piano, painted beautiful pictures, learned crochet, tatting, and quilt making.
Jeanette attended Beautician's School and was hired at the Park Plaza Hotel. There she was chosen to style Miss America's hair. Jeanette was a shoe model for Brown Shoe Company. She managed and sold real estate and managed a furniture company. She was a wonderful cook and loved her family and church.
Jeanette will be missed by her boys, David and Clifford, Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, other family and friends. She will be reunited with those who have gone before her...Husband, Bob, Daughter, Donna, parents and a host of family and friends.
With love, Lois

Condolence: Grief over the death of a loved one was not the Creator's purpose.[Romans 5:12] I hope you will be comforted by the "God of comfort"
who promises to comfort us.
