Mary "Mas" McMahan (Pashia)

Mary “Mas” Margaret (Pashia) McMahan of Cadet, Missouri, was born August 2, 1931, in Old Mines, Missouri, a daughter of the late Charles J. Pashia and Mary Alice (Coleman) Pashia. Mary departed this life Wednesday, March 27, 2019, having reached the age of 87 Years, 7 Months and 25 Days.

Mary was united in marriage to Elvas Emery McMahan on October 25, 1952 in Old Mines, Missouri, Elvas preceded her in death on September 26, 1964.

Mary is survived by three sons, James McMahan and wife Debbie of Gerald, MO, Roger McMahan and Sharyn Zelch of Potosi, MO, Jerome McMahan and wife Dana of Farmington, MO, five daughters, Barbara Rigdon of Desloge, MO, Jackie Clapp Coddington of Potosi, MO, Linda Buettner and husband Gary of Jefferson City, MO, Julia Sumpter and husband Dennis of Mineral Point, MO, Monica Woods and husband Clarence, Jr. of Park Hills, MO, 43 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, eight sisters, Bernadette Sappington of Potosi, MO, Catherine Villmer and husband Max of Festus, MO, Charlene Campbell of Potosi, MO, Betty Graves and husband Larry of Park Hills, MO, Donna Gegg and husband Mark of Festus, MO, Janice Reynolds of Festus, MO, Judy Bone and husband David of Hillsboro, MO, special honorary sister, Chris Wills of Terre Du Lac, three brothers, Charles G. Pashia of High Ridge, MO, Thaddeus “Tad” Pashia and wife Carolyn of Pevely, MO, James E. Pashia and wife Geneva of Farmington, MO and by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her husband, Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, Charles J. and Mary Alice (Coleman) Pashia, two sons, John Paul McMahan and Lynn McMahan, two grandsons, Matthew McMahan and Joshua Sumpter, one great great grandson, Thomas Inmon, three brothers, Richie Pashia, John Pashia and Paschal “Pap” Pashia, one daughter-in-law, Sherry McMahan, two sons-in-law, Lonnie Clapp and John Rigdon, one sister-in-law, Darlene Pashia, four brothers-in-law, Raymond Campbell, Rodney Reynolds, Roscoe Sappington and Jim Thompson and a special cousin, Margie Emily.

Mary was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joachim Church. Mary enjoyed playing music with her father, brothers and cousin, Margie. Mary also enjoyed crocheting, making quilts, gardening, playing bingo, going to yard sales, fishing and camping with her friends and family.
