Veronica Ann (Boyer) Missey of Potosi, Missouri was born July 28, 1938 in Cadet, Missouri a daughter to the late Lucian Boyer and Mary Emma Boyer (Boyer). Veronica departed this life Tuesday, March 24, 2020 having reached the age 81 years, 7 months and 27 days.
On January 28, 1961, in Tiff, Missouri, Veronica was united in marriage to the late Joseph Milton Missey and shared forty-one blessed years together. Joseph departed this life March 11, 2002
Veronica is survived by three daughters, Cindy Barron and husband Rodney of Ironton, Missouri, Leslie Setzer and husband Tony of Potosi, Missouri, Penny Walburn and Brooks Gibson of Cadet, Missouri; three sons, Timothy Missey and wife Alla of Leslie, Missouri, James Missey of Cadet, Missouri, Christopher Missey of Cadet, Missouri; one sister, Joyce Boyer of High Ridge, Missouri; one brother, James Boyer and wife Bernice of DeSoto, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Theresa Eckhoff of Cadet, Missouri, Rose Missey of Festus, Missouri, Bernadete Boyer of Granite City, Illinois; brothers-in-law, Eddie Missey of Blackwell, Missouri, Earl Missey and wife Shelia of Hillsboro, Missouri; twenty grandchildren: Nicole Knerr, Daniel Knerr, Shonda Barron, Rodney Barron, Jr., Danielle Missey, Brandy Crawford, Brittney Missey, Krystal Allison, Cody Battreal, Nicholas Fowler, Steven Missey, Dakota Missey, Justin Missey, Alphonso Zapeda, Jr., Joshua Zapeda, Baily Zapeda, Skylar Setzer, Mily Setzer, Abigail Missey, Christopher Missey; sixteen great grandchildren: Sarah Missey, Briley Missey, Emily Crawford, Aubree Crawford, Hailey Gunther, Benjamin Missey, Kaylie Huffman, Allisson Johnson, Mallory Sansoucie, Joey Sansoucie, Apollo Brooks, Jayla Barron, Nolan Allison, Caydence Missey, Caysen Missey, Raelynn Coleman; special friends, Benny Hanson of Cadet, Missouri Theresa Pashia of Cadet, Missouri and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Veronica was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Stephen Missey; three sisters, Gladys Hinch, Agatha Hinch, Ann Dick; seven brothers: Glennon Boyer, Buck Boyer, Mike Boyer, Victor Boyer, Joseph Boyer, Godfrey Boyer, Norbert Boyer; three grandchildren, Jacqueline Missey, Kevin Bollinger, Trevor Bollinger.
Veronica was a devoted member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church and a member of the Legion of Mary Teresa. She loved being outside in the warm sunshine cutting grass and working in her yard. She enjoyed relaxing, working crossword puzzles, visiting with family and picking on her grandchildren. The warm and loving memories she gave her family will be treasured.
