Raymond Gene “Buck” DeGonia of Potosi, Missouri was born December 10, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri a son to the late Gene H. DeGonia and Charlene (Yarbrough) DeGonia. Buck departed this life Sunday, March 14, 2021 having reached the age of 68 years, 3 months and 4 days.

Buck is survived by his daughters, Tammy DeGonia of Potosi, Missouri, Judy McCaul and husband Alex of Potosi, Missouri, Bridgett DeGonia of Potosi, Missouri; sons, Joseph “Joey” DeGonia and wife Heather of Potosi, Missouri, Matthew Degonia of Potosi, Missouri; sisters, Charlene “Sally” Littrell and husband Kenny of Cadet, Missouri, Karen Benson and husband John of Potosi, Missouri, Pamela Holland of Potosi, Missouri; brother, Lynn DeGonia and wife Sandy of Mineral Point, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence “Pete” DeGonia.
Buck was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend. He served in the United States Marines from 1972-1974 and proudly expressed his patriotism throughout his life. He loved to cruise around town honking his horn and waving at people, just to say “hello”. He was a frequent diner at the Family Steak House and often payed for other people’s meals. He had a heart of gold and made sure everyone was taken care of and never asked for anything in return. He loved playing Poker with his friends and family and visiting with them. His family was his pride and joy and he loved to spoil his grandchildren. He was an amazing man who brought joy to so many people. He will be deeply missed by not only his family but the community he loved.
