Carlon Ray “Pete” Adams of Potosi, Missouri formerly of Richwoods, Missouri was born Wednesday, June 19, 1940 in Richwoods, Missouri a son of Stephen Anthony Adams and the late Bernice Almeda (Merseal) Adams. Pete departed this life Thursday, July 29, 2004 at the Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of Sixty-four years, One month and Ten days.
Pete is survived by his loving and devoted Sister Norma Jean Cardwell of Potosi, Missouri; Brother James Wilbert Adams and wife Catherine of Dittmer, Missouri; Father Stephen Anthony Adams of Potosi, Missouri; Two dear and special angles from God Geraldine DeClue and husband Ace of Caledonia, Missouri and Jeannie Emily of Richwoods, Missouri; dear friend Kenny Huff of Mineral Point, Missouri; and by many other relatives and special friends and neighbors who have been there throughout the time to help with food and grass cutting.
Pete suffered an automobile accident early in life but never gave up with a great attitude and was always ready to help, talk or just be there for you. Pete never seemed to meet a stranger and if he did they were not a stranger for long. Pete enjoyed resting in his chair and watching everyone pass by with a wave and a smile. Pete was very thankful for his many friends and neighbors who were always so willing to lend a hand and help with everything.
Visitation for Pete was held Sunday, August 1, 2004 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Monday, August 2, 2004 from 8:30 AM to 9:40 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, August 2, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Music was provided by the St. Joachim Church Choir.
Final Prayers and Burial was in the St. Stephens Catholic Church Cemetery, Richwoods, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Dennis Cardwell, Ron Cardwell, Terry Cardwell, Bobby Cardwell, Chris Adams and Kent Kuhlman.
Services were entrusted to the Care and Direction of Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
