Steven Lyle Akers of Belleview, Missouri was born on Thursday, February 20, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri a son on of the late, Cathleen Elaine (Ousnamer) Akers and Arthur Lyle Akers. Steven departed this life on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 having reached the age of sixty-five years, six months and eight days.
Steven is survived by his wife, Deborah (Rector) Akers of Belleview, Missouri; daughter, Angela Marie Akers of St. Louis, Missouri; two sons, Steven Lyle Akers II and wife, Mary of St. Louis, Missouri, Brian Arthur Akers and wife, Dana of Catawissa, Missouri; one sister, Joyce Dillard of Potosi, Missouri; two brothers, Frank Akers and wife, Norma of Fenton, Missouri, Kim Akers and wife, Joyce of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Lindsay, Carly, Austin, Aaron, Kaitlyn, Samantha and Christopher; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Goad.
Visitation was held Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Chaplain Bill Galyon officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Thomas Chapel Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
