Al Wingerter

   Al Wingerter, a dedicated and hardworking man, passed away on February 21, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and strong work ethic. Born in Rockwood, Illinois, in 1937, Al lived a full life filled with joy from his family, friends, and passion for sports.

   Al dedicated over 30 years of his life to the Teamsters Local 600, where he worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones. His commitment to taking care of others was evident in both his professional and personal life. In his free time, Al found solace in cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues. He enjoyed hosting BBQ s and spending quality time with his family, creating cherished memories that will live on forever. Among Al's proudest accomplishments were his grandchildren whom he adored dearly. Being a loving father and grandfather brought him immense joy and fulfillment throughout his life.

   Al is now reunited in eternal peace with his beloved Wife, Doris Wingerter; his parents Rosalie and Jesse Wingerter; his siblings Judith Hecht, Clifford Wingerter, Timothy "Ed" Wingerter; daughter Sherry Skaggs and granddaughter, Ashley Skaggs.  Their memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them.

   Al is survived by his loving family: Daughter Connie Douglas and husband Randy of Mineral Point, MO; Sons David Wingerter and wife Traci of Hillsboro, MO, Tim Wingerter and wife Angie of Herculaneum, MO; Sisters Joyce Adams of Chester, IL, Janet Herchenbach and husband Mike of Chester, IL; Grandchildren, Angela, Joshua, Aimee, Adam, Allison, Lezlie, Sarah, Christopher, Great Grandchildren Hannah, Ashlynn, Westin, Ava, Avery, Greyson, Bentley, Mavis, Landon, Liam, Kashton, Kolten, Julia, Isabelle and Parker.

   Al will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved and cherished by many.
