Beulah Baker

Beulah Baker of Potosi, Missouri was born on Wednesday, February 8, 1922 in Leadwood, Missouri a daughter of the late, Lena (Burch) Hahn and John Reuben Hahn. Beulah departed this life on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Home, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-nine years, one months and eleven days.

Beulah is survived by two daughters, Lena Ann Wall and husband, Gene of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Rachel Beck of Caseyville, Illinois; two sisters, Lillie Bradley of Festus, Missouri, Loretta Nosser of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Leroy “Fuzz” Hahn of Gerald, Missouri; one grandson, Jeffrey Wall of Huntsville, Alabama; seven great-grandchildren; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially her wonderful caregivers at Georgian Gardens Nursing Center. In addition to her parents, Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter “Buddy” Baker, Sr., one son, John Walter “Jack” Baker, Jr., one brother, Orville Hahn, one grandchild, Lisa Jean Stuart and two great-grandchildren.

Beulah enjoyed working in her flower gardens and tending to them daily. She was always cooking with her specialties being fried chicken and meatloaf. Beulah loved listening to music especially, Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed watching Reba on T.V. and crocheting. Beulah was an accomplished seamstress making most of her clothing and in her earlier years she made her daughters dresses from flour sack material. She also enjoyed having a vegetable garden in years past.

Visitation was held Monday, March 21, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Monday, March 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Rick Wade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Jeffrey Wall, Roy Hahn, Gene Wall and Jimmy Bradley.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
