Lee Etta Barbee
Lee Etta Barbee of Irondale, Missouri was born on February 22, 1929 in Irondale, Missouri a daughter of the late, Eva Irene (Chapman) Barbee and Carl Barbee. Lee Etta departed this life on May 24, 2008 having reached the age of seventy-nine years, three months and two days.
Lee Etta is survived by three brothers, Carl Barbee of Commerce, Oklahoma, Howard Barbee and wife, Marlene of Irondale, Missouri, Wallace “Wally” Barbee and wife, Teresa of St. Louis, Missouri; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, Lee Etta was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Judy Barbee.
Lee Etta attended the Irondale United Methodist Church, Irondale, Missouri. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, listening to music, watching television and reading. Lee Etta was a very kind hearted woman who will be very deeply missed by the many lives she has touched.
Visitation was held Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, May 28, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Irondale, Missouri with Reverend Bruce Torrence officiating. Honoring Lee Etta by serving as pallbearers were: Jeremy Porter, Brandon Teal, Steve Barbee, Adam Barbee, Mark Barbee and Aaron Barbee.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Big River Cemetery, Irondale, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 104 Oak Street, Irondale, Missouri.
