MARY MARLENE BARBEE OF IRONDALE DIED THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2009. SHE WAS BORN APRIL 5, 1935 TO GILBERT AND IRENE DIXON PERRY. MARLENE MARRIED HOWARD C. BARBEE OF IRONDALE DECEMBER 19, 1953. FOUR CHILDREN WERE BORN TO THIS UNION. MARLENE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS, ONE SISTER, DELORES PERRY, ONE BROTHER GORDON BUDDY PERRY, BOROTHERS-IN-LAW, JOHNY WILLIAMS AND KENNETH MOORE AND ONE GRANDSON, SCOTT JARED PORTER.
MARLENE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND AND CHILDREN, DEBRA PORTER AND HUSBAND JIM, LINDELL BARBEE, KAREN TEAL AND HUSBAND JEFF, AND RANDY BARBEE AND WIFE STACEY. TEN GRANDCHILDREN, CHRISTOPHER FORSHEE, JEREMY PORTER, SCOTT DICUS, JOSEPH FORSHEE, LINDSAY JACKSON, BRITTANY BARBEE, ASHTON BARBEE, BRANDON TEAL, JACOB BARBEE AND GAVIN BARBEE. SEVEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, DANIELLE FORSHEE, MADISON FORSHEE, THOMAS FORSHEE, MORGAN FORSHEE, TYSON BARBEE, ADDYSON PORTER, LAUREN JACKSON.
MARLENE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HER BROTHERS AND SISTERS, BOB PERRY AND WIFE VELMA, DARLENE MOORE, KAY ABRAM AND HUSBAND BILL, BARRY PERRY AND KENNETH PERRY AND WIFE DIANE, MANY NEICES, NEPHEWS, OTHER RELATIVES, FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS.
MARLENE HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR LIFE AND ATTENDED THE IRONDALE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH. SHE ENJOYED EVERYDAY WITH A SMILE TO PASS TO EVERYONE. SHE LOVED TO RELAX WITH A GOOD BOOK AND READ. SHE ENJOYED BOWLING AND COLLECTING ANTIQUES. MARLENE WILL FOREVER BE REMEMBERED AND CHERISHED FOR NOT ONLY HER CARING AND LOVING WAYS BUT FOR BEING ABLE TO SPOIL ALL THE FAMILY AND MAKE EACH FEEL THEY WERE THE MOST IMPORTANT. HER MEMORY WILL LIVE WITH OUR STORIES AND HER SMILE IN OUR HEARTS.
VISITATION FOR MARLENE BARBEE WILL BE HELD AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, IRONDALE, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28 FROM 3:00 PM TO 8:00 PM AND SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29 FROM 10:00 AM TO 1:45 PM. FUNERAL SEFVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF IRONDALE AT 2:00 PM SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29.
BURIAL WILL BE IN THE BIG RIVER CEMETERY IN IRONDALE. SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE JEREMY PORTER, BRANDON TEAL, STEVE BARBEE, SCOTT DICUS, KEITH PERRY AND MATT JACKSON.
