David Burnelle Barton
David Burnelle Barton of Cadet, Missouri was born Saturday, April 8, 1979 in Carbondale, Illinois the son of Connie K. (Sherman) Barton and Ronnie B. Barton. David departed this life Sunday, October 10, 2004 at his home at the age of Twenty-five years, Six months and Two days.
Dave is survived by his mother and father, Connie K. Barton and Ronnie B. Barton of Cadet, Missouri; Three sons, Austin B. Yaughbrough of Potosi, Missouri, Logan M. Wheetley of Farmington, Missouri, Landon Estes of Mineral Point, Missouri; Two sisters, Elaine Jones and husband Jeff of Springtown, Missouri, Angie Short and husband Joe of Okhala, Florida; Two brothers, Kenny Dahl and fiancé Melissa Leftridge of Mineral Point, Missouri, Ronnie W. Barton of Trenton, New Jersey; maternal grandmother, Francis Anderson of Farmington, Missouri; fiancé, Laurie Estes of Mineral Point, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Barb and Don Davis of Potosi, Missouri, Deloris and Louis Thurmond of Blackwell, Missouri, Kathy Barton of Park Hills, Missouri, Russell and Mary Barton of Blackwell, Missouri, Janet and Ronald Byington of Morten, Tennessee, Mary Davis of Grafton, Illinois; Eighteen nieces and nephews and by many other relatives and friends. David is preceded in death by Two brothers, Scott Edward Dahl and Scott Allen Barton; paternal grandparents, Delmer L. And Mallte D. Barton, maternal grandfather, Clarence R. Sherman; aunts, Irene G. DeClue and Lovall May Rogers; Uncles, Alvie L. Barton, Donnie Lee Barton, Ricky W. Barton and Kevin Hafly.
Dave enjoyed the many gifts of mother nature and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He was always ready to get on the motorcycle and go for an outing with his many friends. He would relax watching movies or listening to the radio. Dave enjoyed shooting pool.
Dave always stood out in a crowd and was always the leader not a follower. He enjoyed being with his family and friends telling a joke and getting a laugh from them.
Dave had a great love for his family, especially his sons who where always on his mind. He cherished the time spent with them. He never liked being called the baby of the family but in his heart knew he was and was thankful for the privilege of being mom and dad’s baby son.
Visitation was held Wednesday, October 13, 2004 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, October 14, 2004 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Reverend David Godat officiating.
Burial and Final Prayers were held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Don Lee Barton, Jr., Jeff Jones, Bryan Young, Randy Rolens, Travis Barton and Sean Besel.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
