Ronald Burnelle Barton
Ronald Burnelle Barton of Cadet, Missouri was born on September 7, 1946 in Old Mines, Missouri. He was the son of the late Delmar L. Barton and Maudie D. (Gowen) Barton. Ronald departed this life on September 27, 2005 at his residence, having reached the age of fifty-nine years and twenty days.
Ronald was united in marriage to Connie (Sherman) Barton on April 19, 1979 in Richwoods, Missouri, and to this union Ronald and Connie were blessed to have seven children.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Connie K. Barton of Cadet, Missouri, two sons, Ronnie W. Barton of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Kenny E. Dahl and fiancé Melissa of Potosi, Missouri, two daughters, Elaine Jones and husband Jeff of Mineral Point, Missouri, Angela Short of Okhala, Florida, four sisters, Barb Davis and husband Don of Potosi, Missouri, Delores Thurmond and husband Louis of Blackwell, Missouri, Janet Byington and husband Ronald of Martin, Tennessee, Mary Davis of Godfrey, Illinois, and sixteen grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Donna K. (Reed) Barton, three sons, Scott Edward Dahl, Scott Allen Barton, David B. Barton, two sisters, Louelle Rogers, Irene DeClue, five brothers, Alvie Barton, Lonnie Barton, Ricky Barton, Russell Barton, and Donnie Barton.
Ron enjoyed the many gifts of mother nature and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He was always ready to get on the motorcycle and go for and outing with his many friends. He would relax watching movies or listening to the radio. Ron also enjoyed shooting pool.
Ron always stood out in a crowd and was always the leader not a follower. He enjoyed being with his family and friends telling a joke and getting a laugh from them. Ron was always the peacemaker in the family. Ron had a great love for his family.
Visitation was held Thursday, September 29, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral Services were held Friday, September 30, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri, with Reverend Leon Moiser officiating. Serving as pallbearers was Bryan Young, Danny Lawson, Ernie Portell, Randy Rolens, Jeff Jones, and Donnie Barton.
Burial took place at the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
