Debra “Debbie” Lee Belfield of Mineral Point was born April 24, 1957 in Potosi, a daughter to the late Logan Kathcart and Gladys Marie (Kimberlin) Kathcart. Debbie departed this life Saturday, August 7, 2021 having reached the age of 64 years, 3 months and 14 days.
On May 22, 1981, Debbie was united in marriage to the late Richard Belfield and they happily raised their children and were blessed with many years together.
Debbie is survived by her son, Joshua Belfield of Potosi; daughter, Tracy Boren and husband Jeff of Fenton; sisters, Phyllis Vance of St. Charles, Missouri, Sharon Forrester of Potosi, Glenda Farrow and husband Perry of Potosi; grandchildren, Megan, Brady, Sydney; in-laws, LeRoy Rolens of Potosi, Jean Roberson of Potosi, Ruby Belfield of Mineral Point, Donald Belfield and wife Carol of Caledonia, Jack Yount of High Ridge, Carolyn Hardin, Dana and William “Buddy” Rousan of Mineral Point in addition to many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear and special friends who loved her.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Debbie was preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Bob” Kathcart; sister, Marian “Kitty” Rolens; sister-in-law, Dorothy Yount; brothers-in-law, Ray Belfield, Carl Vance, Wesley Forrester, Jesse Belfield and mother and father- in- law, Raymond and Pansy Belfield.
Debbie was kind and caring, always taking care of others. Her kind heart shined every day. She worked as a nurse for many years and her love of people extended into her work. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and kept those she loved in her thoughts and prayers. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched.
