Pansy Caroline Belfield of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on Thursday, November 6, 1919 in Walnut Ridge, Missouri a daughter of the late, Francis Carolyn (Stubblefield) Finley and Jesse Finley. Pansy departed this life on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of ninety-two years, three months and six days.
Pansy was united in marriage to Raymond Belfield on August 10, 1935 in Belgrade, Missouri and were blessed with seven children.
Pansy is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Yount and husband, Jack of High Ridge, Missouri, Carolyn Hardin of Salem, Kentucky, Dana Rousan and husband, William “Buddy” Rousan of Mineral Point, Missouri; one son, Donald Belfield and wife, Carol of Potosi, Missouri; two daughters-in-law, Debbie Belfield, Ruby Belfield; one sister, Bernice Harper of Portage, Indiana; nineteen grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Pansy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Reverend Raymond Belfield, three sons, Ray Belfield, Richard Belfield, Jesse Belfield, three sisters, Flossie Wood, Kathryn Cauley, Mabel Yow and one great-great granddaughter, Lillian Craig.
Pansy attended the Mineral Point United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, hide and seek puzzles and word searches. Pansy loved listening to the Gaither’s gospel music and reading the Bible. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was held Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri and Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Potosi United Methodist Church, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Thursday, February 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Potosi United Methodist Church with Dr. John Ray officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Jesse Belfield, Josh Belfield, Scott Price, Allen Rousan, Mark Hloben and Jesse Peek.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
