Neal Harold Belt
Neal Harold Belt of Old Mines, Missouri was born Sunday, February 12, 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri a son of the late Roy Belt and Agnes (Politte) Belt-Naucke. Neal departed this life Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital at the age of Eighty-one Years, Eleven Months and Nine Days.
Neal was united in marriage to the late Winifred M. Huskey and they were blessed to have Four children born to the union.
Neal was very well known in the area for his fine craftsmanship and upholstery work. He had worked with many local business people to service the community. Neal enjoyed playing the guitar all his life and always looked forward to the time family and friends would come or call for a jam session. He would relax watching television and especially enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk Show. Neal will always be remembered by his Family and Friends for his wonderful sense of humor.
Neal is survived by his Son, Neal Edward Belt and wife Cheryl of Cadet, Missouri; Three Daughters, Patsy Benson of Potosi, Missouri, Laura Politte and husband Randy of Cadet, Missouri and Linda Belt of Potosi, Missouri; Ten Special and Dear Grandchildren; Ten Joyous Great Grandchildren and by many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Neal was also preceded in death by One sister, Ruth Crippen and Three Brothers, Clarence Hopkins, Earl Belt and Mearle Belt.
Visitation was held Saturday, January 24, 2004 from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the Moore Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM with Reverend Don Strauser Officiating. Music was provided by Neal’s granddaughters Taylor and Amber Coleman, they sang “Shout to the Lord”.
Grave site services and Burial was in the St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Brian Belt, Chris Belt, John Sansoucie, Jack Coleman, Randy Politte and Roger Missey.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
