Ernest “Ernie” Bennett of Cadet, Missouri was born on Tuesday, May 23, 1967 in Rochelle, Illinois and departed this life on Friday, May 1, 2009 at his residence having reached the age of forty-one years, eleven months and eight days.

Ernie is survived by his mother, Elizabeth “Liz” (Sims) Bennett and friend, Lynn Juliette of Cadet, Missouri; father, Paul Ray Bennett and wife, Brenda of Cadet, Missouri; two sisters, Paula Couch and husband, Richard of Cadet, Missouri, Kathy Juliette and husband, Steve of Cadet, Missouri; two step-sisters, Amy Eckhoff and husband, Tracy of Cadet, Missouri, Misty Ficken and husband, John of Cadet, Missouri; one step-brother, Jason Bond and friend, Brandi Boyer of Cadet, Missouri; six nephews, Matthew Wicker, Richard Couch, Jr., Derek Juliette, Kenny Kitchell, Jr., Layne Ficken, Blake Govero; four nieces, Jessica Wicker, Brittney Couch, Kaitlyn Juliette, Kayla Govero; also surviving is his favorite dog and his champion, Lady, other relatives and many friends.

Ernie enjoyed watching television and feeding deer and turkey. He loved having company, visiting with his family and friends for hours. Ernie was kindhearted man who will be deeply missed by the many lives he has touched.

Visitation was held Monday, May 4, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Monday, May 4, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Elijah Bennett and Reverend Ernie Bennett officiating. Music provided by Bernett Bennett and Family. Honoring Ernie by serving as pallbearers were: John Volkert, Tim L. Bennett, Tim Bennett, Bill Juliette, Tracy Eckhoff and Jason Bond.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Bennett Cemetery, Cadet, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
