Wallace Edward Benson
Wally “Beep” Benson of Cadet, Missouri was born on April 15, 1944 in Potosi, Missouri and departed this life on September 11, 2008 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-four years, four months and twenty-seven days.
Wally is survived by his wife, Josephine (Klein) Benson of Cadet, Missouri; one brother, Joseph Ennis and companion, Judy Coleman of St. Louis, Missouri; one step-brother, Tex Ennis and wife, Eula of Potosi, Missouri; two sisters, Marlene Benson of Keokak, Iowa, Beverly Uhl and husband, David of St. Louis, Missouri; three granddaughters, Carolynn Johnson, Jewellynn Wood, Mariah Lynn Wood all of Imperial, Missouri; special niece/daughter, Peggy and Mark Wood, Imperial, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. Wally was preceded in death by one son, Travis James Benson, mother, Hazel (Benson) Ennis, one infant brother, Homer Ray Ennis and one sister, Jeanette Benson.
Wally or “Beep” as many knew him loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters and his dog “Binky”. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing and loved creating woodcrafts in his workshop. Wally will be lovingly missed by all of his family and friends.
Visitation was held Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the House of Prayer, Tiff, Missouri from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a funeral service at 3:00 PM with Reverend Martha Schaefferkoetter officiating.
Honoring Wally by serving as pallbearers were: Jim Belden, Danny Contello, Mark Wood, Scott Johnson, Jacob Hemmer, Tony Johnson and Alex Gutierrez.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the House of Prayer Cemetery, Tiff, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
