Annetta Kay Bequette
Annetta Kay Bequette of Old Mines departed this life on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends. Annetta was born Thursday, May 31, 1956 in Bonne Terre, Missouri a daughter of the late Wilma Jane (Hart) Marler and Frank E. Marler. Annetta was Fifty-six years, nine months and eight days of age at the time of her death.
Father Mull united Annetta in marriage to the love of her life, Mark Gerard Bequette, on December 21, 1974 at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines. They were blessed to have one son born to the marriage.
Annetta had a great love for life and was a long time member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church. She always had time for family and friends. She loved to prepare for social events especially the super bowl. Her music idol was Elvis Presley and she would spend hours listening to his music. Her husband, son and extended family and friends was her life, she had a great love for each.
Annetta is survived by her husband, Mark Bequette of Cadet, Missouri; one son Marcus Bequette and fiancé April of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Janice Hays of Potosi, Missouri; two brother, Vernon Marler and wife Brenda of Potosi, Missouri, Joe Marler and wife Holly of Columbus, Ohio; five sisters-in-law, Regina Short of Denver, Colorado, Leona Short of Glenrock, Wyoming, Alma Ann Allen of Old, Mines, Missouri, Mary Theresa Cracciola of Old Mines, Missouri and Paulette Gilliam and husband Danny of DeSoto, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Glennon Bequette and wife Lucy of Old Mines, Missouri, John Bequette and wife Mary Ann of Casper, Wyoming, Richard Bequette and wife Margaret Mary of High Ridge, Missouri, Thomas “Jr.” Bequette and wife Melva of Topeka, Kansas, Philip “Joe” Bequette and wife Lisa of DeSoto, Missouri and Christopher Bequette and wife Angie of DeSoto, Missouri and by many other dear and very special relatives and friends. In addition to her mother and father, one sister, Virginia Kelley, one brother, Bobby Marler, sister-in-law Glenda Bequette and brothers-in-law Jim Hays, Don Short and William “Bill” also preceded her in death.
Visitation and sharing of Memories was held Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Monday, March 11, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
The Mass of Resurrection was held Monday, March 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church with Reverend Father Ted Pieper Celebrating.
Burial and Prayers of Commendation were held at the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines. Honoring the Memory of Annetta and serving as Pallbearers were Steve “Rhino” Merx, Frank Lachance, Mitch Boedecker, Danny Sampson, Harry Robart and Steve Stroup.
Services were Entrusted to the Love and Care of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
