Doris Ann Bequette of Cadet, Missouri was born November 7, 1936 in Robideaux, Missouri, a daughter to the late Roussan F. Bequette and Agatha Marie (Sansoucie) Bequette. Doris Ann departed this life Sunday, September 27, 2020 having reached the age of 83 years, 10 months and 20 days.
Doris Ann is survived by her sister, Juanita M. Bieser of El Monte, California; brother, Stephen F. Bequette of Old Mines, Missouri; Sisters in Christ, Natalie Villmer of Fertile, Missouri, Neva Calvert of Fertile, Missouri; eleven nieces and nephews, many cousins, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Doris Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, James E. Bequette and Donald J. Bequette, and religious sisters, Alice Widmer, LaDonna Hermann and Mary Siegfried.
Doris Ann dedicated her life to Christ at a young age. In 1974 she became a Rural Parish Worker and served as their treasurer and secretary, also developing and coordinating the Rural Parish food pantry. She was a faithful member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church and facilitated the P.F.P. Program at the church. She also coordinated the Christmas Distribution Program through the St. Michael House. She loved gardening and canning, enjoying the fruits of her labor. In her leisure time she loved to travel, to crochet afghans and read. Her love, kindness and stewardship towards others will be deeply missed.
