Laury Livengood Blair of Potosi, Missouri was born on Sunday, October 3, 1954 in Festus, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, June 14, 2009 having reached the age of fifty-four years, eight months and eleven days.
Laury was united in marriage to Dennis Blair on August 3, 1974 at St. James Catholic Church by Father Ted Brunnert and were blessed with two daughters.
Laury is survived by her husband, Dennis Blair of Potosi, Missouri; two daughters, Andria Elaine Nettles and husband, Joseph III of Herculaneum, Missouri, Katie Elizabeth Blair and dear friend, Brian Dodson and his son, Blaine Dodson of Fenton, Missouri; two sisters, Betty Livengood of High Ridge, Missouri, Cathy Wilcox and husband, Greg of Harrisburg, Missouri; one granddaughter, Blair Elizabeth Nettles; also surviving are many other relatives and dear and special friends. Laury was a special aunt to Justin and Jessy Wilcox and a dear God Mother to Justin Wilcox and Adam Blair. Laury was preceded in death by her loving mother, Mary Lou (Peters) Livengood and one sister, Pat Livengood Meager.
Laury was a faithful parishioner of the St. James Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Potosi High School. Laury was an avid quilter, who was always traveling to quilt shows and was a member of the Quilters Guild. She loved her grandbaby, Blair Elizabeth and spending time with her. Laury enjoyed socializing with her family and friends and going to garage sales. Laury was the owner of the Quilters Corner in Potosi, Missouri for many years. She will always be remembered for the love she shared.
Visitation was held Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Father Richard Tillman officiating. Honoring Laury by serving as pallbearers were: Adam Davis, Andy Blair, Joe Nettles, Brian Dodson, Justin Wilcox, Marty Simpson, Jerry West, Jon Boyer, Shannon McClain and Adam Blair.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
