James Frederick Blankenship, Jr. of Leadwood, Missouri was born May 21, 1950 in Banner, Missouri and a son to the late James Blankenship, Sr. and Lucy (Askew) Blankenship. James departed this life Thursday, October 14, 2021 having reached the age of 71 years, 4 months and 23 days.
On July 28, 1984, James was united in marriage to Barbara Gail (Parks) Blankenship and they shared 37 years and many wonderful memories together.
James is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; daughters, Ella Sims of Desloge, Missouri, April Taylor and husband Chuck of Webber Falls, Oklahoma, Dawn Ragland of Mineral Point; sons, Joe Blankenship and wife Stacy of Bonne Terre, David Blankenship and wife Ann of St. Louis, Michael Siekmann of Troy, Missouri; brother, Louis Blankenship and wife Jan of Troy, Missouri; grandchildren, Ashley and Nick Skaggs, Amanda Blankenship, Jordan Nickleson, Derek Elders, Addilyn Blankenship, Rhianna Blankenship, Brandon Ragland, Cody Ragland, Paige Ragland, Shealyn Siekmann; 13 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives, and friend.
James lived life to its fullest and never met a stranger. He had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a member of the owners group. He loved to ride and see new places and sight see around the country. His family was his pride and joy. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He left a lasting impression on all he met. His memory will be cherished by those who loved him.
