Harry Winfred Bobbett
Harry Bobbett of DeSoto, Missouri was born on Friday, August 18, 1916 in Stony Point, Missouri a son of the late, Ida Mae (Hipes) Bobbett and Charlie Lee Bobbett. Harry departed this on Friday, November 23, 2007 at the Fountainbleau Nursing Center, Festus, Missouri having reached the age of ninety-one years, three months and five days.
Harry was united in marriage to Clara Mae Cresswell on August 8, 1937 in Potosi, Missouri.
Harry is survived by one daughter, Hallie Derousse of DeSoto, Missouri; one son, Stephen Bobbett wife, Beulah of Bismarck, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Bobbett, one daughter, Judith Allen, one son, Ronald Bobbett, four sisters, Hilda, Dorothy, Tinsey and Louise, five brothers, Howard, Pete, Finas, Dick and Wendell, one grandson, Jerry Hickam and two great grandchildren, Sarah and Zach.
Harry enjoyed spending time in the outdoors fishing and playing horseshoes. He worked forty-three years at St. Joe Lead Company, Herculaneum, Missouri. Harry will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
Visitation was held Monday, November 26, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, November 27, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Minister Stephen Bobbett, Sr. officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Chris Bobbett, Jon Bobbett, Steve Derousse, Kenny Derousse, Mike Bobbett, Joe Bobbett, Jimmy Kolen, Steve Bobbett, Sr., Steve Bobbett, Jr. and Jessie Bobbett.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Lost Creek Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
