Joseph Lynn Bourbon of Cadet, Missouri was born on Monday, January 22, 1979 in Potosi, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of thirty-four years, seven months and seventeen days.
Joey is survived by one daughter, Josephine “Josie” Mae Bourbon of Steelville, Missouri; father and stepmother, Carl F. Bourbon and Jackie of Cadet, Missouri; one sister, Alicia Pashia and husband, James of Potosi, Missouri; two brothers, Carl F. Bourbon, Jr. of Bonne Terre, Missouri; Justin B. Bourbon and wife, Ashley of Cadet, Missouri; fiancée, Kim Mika of St. Clair, Missouri; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Joey was preceded in death by his mother, Candia (Courtway) Bourbon.
Joey loved spending time with family and always looked forward to the good meals at family gatherings. He enjoyed reading his Bible and going to Bible study classed and was a Youth Leader in his younger years. Some of
Joey’s favorite pastimes were: watching Nascar Racing, Cardinals baseball, listening to music,
playing video games and hiking through the woods and around creeks collecting arrowheads. Joey will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, September 13, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Friday, September 13, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Brother Bruce Nipper officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Royce Koch, Steve Coleman, James Pashia, Nathan Courtway, Brian Hollinsworth, Jared Pratt and Anthony Robinson.
