Mildred Opal Bourisaw

July 31, 1925 — June 23, 2012

Mildred Opal Bourisaw of Old Mines, Missouri was born on July 31, 1925 in Cadet, Missouri a daughter of the late, Bertha (Boyer) Battreal and Morgan Chester Battreal. Mildred departed this life on Saturday, June 23, 2012 having reached the age of eighty-six years, ten months and twenty-three days.

Mildred was united in marriage to Joseph Theodore Bourisaw on November 12, 1947 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri.

Mildred is survived by seven daughters, Mary Lou Hochstatter and friend, Edward “Buddy” Sitzes of Potosi, Missouri, Patsy Johnson and husband, Larry of Potosi, Missouri, Rita Johnston of Potosi, Missouri, Shelba Pashea and husband, Ronnie of Potosi, Missouri, Sharon Duncan and husband, Bill of Cadet, Missouri, Katherine Pashea and husband, Jerry of Cadet, Missouri, Glenda Whitten and husband, Garry of Kenosha, Wisconsin; three sons, Paul Bourisaw and wife, Wilma of Potosi, Missouri, Dennis Bourisaw of Cadet, Missouri, Morgan Bourisaw of Potosi, Missouri; one brother, Roy Battreal of DeSoto, Missouri; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Theodore Bourisaw, son, Roy Bourisaw, two sisters, Becky Battreal, Mary Boyer, one brother, Frank Battreal.

Mildred loved spending time with her family and attending Mass at St. Joachim Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation was held Monday, June 25, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper celebrating and Monsignor James Hanson concelebrating and Deacon Ed Boyer assisting.

Final Prayers and Burial took place at the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Bill Duncan, Pauly Bourisaw, Morgan Bourisaw, Justin Duncan, Jerry Pashea and Ronnie Pashea.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
