ALCIE VIRGINIA BOYER OF CADET, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT BLACK, MISSOURI ON JANUARY 12, 1929. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE HENRY AND NANCY (JOHNSON) SHEPARD. ALCIE DEPARTED THIS LIFE ON NOVEMBER 21, 2002 AT HER RESIDENCE IN CADET, MISSOURI HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY THREE YEARS, TEN MONTHS AND NINE DAYS.
ALCIE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO HAROLD BOYER ON FEBRUARY 16, 1946 IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI AND TO THIS UNION SEVEN CHILDREN WERE BORN.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND, HAROLD BOYER OF CADET, MISSOURI, THREE DAUGHTERS, SHIRLEY MILLER OF OLD MINES, MISSOURI, LINDA OSHIA OF CADET, MISSOURI AND SANDRA JEAN MILLER OF CADET, MISSOURI, TWO SONS, DANIEL BOYER OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA AND ANTHONY "TONY" BOYER OF CADET, MISSOURI, CLOSE FRIEND, KELLY SEXTON OF POTOSI, MISSOURI. ONE SISTER, LUCILLE SUTTON AND HUSBAND CALVIN OF HILLSBORO, MISSOURI, FIVE BROTHERS, JAMES SHEPARD AND WIFE ANGELA OF CADET, MISSOURI, KENNETH SHEPARD OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, GOLDEN SHEPARD AND WIFE GERALDINE OF CADET, MISSOURI, LLOYD SHEPARD AND WIFE RACHAEL OF CADET, MISSOURI AND CLEO SHEPARD AND WIFE JUDY OF CADET, MISSOURI, THIRTEEN GRANDCHILDREN AND TWENTY GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE DAUGHTER, PATRICIA SUE BOYER, ONE SON, GARY WAYNE BOYER, ONE SISTER, MILDRED FITZWATER, AND TWO BROTHERS, RICHARD SHEPARD AND ELVIS SHEPARD.
SHE ENJOYED THE MANY GIFTS OF MOTHER NATURE, SHE ESPECIALLY ENJOYED TAKING TIME FISHING WITH HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. ALCIE LOVED TO SPEND TIME WITH HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS REMINISCING OVER DAYS GONE BY. ALCIE HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HER FAMILY, EACH OF THEM HELD A VERY DEAR PLACE IN HER HEART AND SHE THOUGHT OF THEM DAILY. ALCIE WAS A VERY KIND AND LOVING GRANDMOTHER, GREAT GRANDMOTHER AND CHERISHED FRIEND.
VISITATION WAS HELD 4:30 PM TO 9:00 PM ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2002 AND 8:30 AM TO 11:00 AM ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2002 AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
A FUNERAL SERVICE WAS CELEBRATED 11:00 AM ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2002 AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH FATHER TED PIEPER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE ST. JOACHIM CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE GEROMY MILLER, LEE MILLER, JOSH BOYER, KYLE OSHIA, RUSTY BOYER AND DERRICK BOYER.
