Clara Boyer of Richwoods, Missouri was born on Tuesday, September 16, 1952 in Piedmont, Missouri a daughter of the late, Elsie (Wallace) Dean and Jess Dean. Clara departed this life on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. John’s Mercy, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of fifty-eight years, one month and fourteen days.
Clara was united in marriage to Edward Lee Boyer on September 20, 1975 in Mineral Point, Missouri.
Clara is survived by husband, Edward Lee Boyer of Richwoods, Missouri; four daughters, Terry Lynn Stark of Conway, Arkansas, Diane Lee Santoyo and husband, Mark of Sullivan, Missouri, Mary Ellen Recar and husband, Brent of Richwoods, Missouri, Tara Lynn Pfeffer and fiancé, Jacob of Richwoods, Missouri; one son, Gary Don Stark, Jr. and wife, Christine of St. Clair, Missouri; three sisters, Wanda Mayberry and husband, Sam of Sullivan, Missouri, Barb Sampson and husband, Jim of Richwoods, Missouri, Dulice Dean of Joplin, Missouri; one brother, Jess Dean and wife, Linda of Missouri; mother-in-law, Margaret Boyer of Ebo, Missouri; twenty-two grandchildren; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Skiles, Dessie Ammilio, three brothers, Bill Joe Dean, Charles Dean and Truman Dean and one grandson, Charles Holtz.
Clara loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was looking forward to the arrival of her great grandchildren and her family and many friends loving referred to her as Maw. She enjoyed pitching horseshoes, watching western movies and the company of her cat “Cheddar”. Clara was active with Richwoods Basketball Team and was scorekeeper along with her husband, Ed.
Visitation was held Monday, November 1, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rocky Dean officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Horine Cemetery, Richwoods, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Dallas Kinkead, Jacob Stark, Jacob Delane, Dustin Holtz, Zack Holtz and Chris Duncan.
A luncheon was provided for family and friends after services by the Richwoods Lions Club, Richwoods, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
