Clifford Lucian Boyer
Clifford Lucian Boyer of Old Mines, Missouri was born October 13, 1930 in Old Mines, Missouri, a son of the late Mary Blanch Boyer and Clarence John Boyer. Clifford passed away at his residence Monday January 24, 2005, having reached the age of seventy- four years old. Clifford was united in Holy Matrimony to Argine (Golden) Boyer August 9, 1951 in Old Mines, Missouri. They were blessed to have one daughter and two sons.
Clifford is survived by his loving wife Argine Boyer of Old Mines, Missouri; daughter Debbie Summers and husband Roger of Potosi, Missouri; sons Roger Boyer of Bismarck, Missouri; Wayne Boyer and wife Sue of Old Mines, Missouri; sister Lena Mae Lee and husband Robert of Luebring, Missouri; brothers Bernard “Blue” Boyer and wife Loreda of Hillsboro, Missouri, Wilburn Boyer and wife Bernice of Richwoods, Missouri; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Clifford was also preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Kemper and Margaret Boyer, nine brothers, Homer, Edmond, Thomas, Leonard, Lloyd, George, Louis Lee, Johnny and Joseph.
Clifford was a member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri and the Knights of Columbus, Old Mines, Missouri.
Clifford had a great talent with his guitar and loved to play music anytime, any place or for anyone. Clifford love for music inspired many jam sessions and everyone always had a great time. He loved the great outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting and working in the hay fields on the tractor. Clifford enjoyed all types of sports. Clifford loved spending time with his dump truck making small runs throughout the area.
Clifford had a great love for his family and enjoyed all the time spent with them. Each of them would bring a smile to his face and warm his heart. Clifford’s love for each of them inspired and gave him great strength to continue his journey in this life.
Visitation was held Wednesday, January 26, 2005 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, January 27, 2005 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. Prayer Services were held Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 6:30 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel led by the Rural Parish Workers, Christ the King.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper and Monsignor Jim Hanson celebrating. Music was provided by the Church Choir.
Final Prayers and Burial was in the St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri at 12 Noon Thursday, January 27, 2005.
A luncheon was provided by the Old Mines Knights of Columbus following the services.
Services were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
