DOREEN M. BOYER OF CADET, MISSOURI, WAS BORN JULY 14, 1916, IN FLETCHER, MISSOURI, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JAMES H. AND SOPHIA (POLITTE) PASHIA. DOREEN DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT GEORGIAN GARDENS NURSING HOME ON FEBRUARY 13, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY-THREE YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND THIRTY DAYS.
DOREEN WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THE LATE ALFRED "GABE" BOYER ON DECEMBER 26, 1936, TO THIS UNION ONE SON WAS BORN.
DOREEN IS SURVIVED BY ONE SON, ALFRED J. BOYER OF CADET, FOUR GRANDCHILDREN, JIM BOYER AND WIFE DARLA OF CADET, CHRIS HINER AND HUSBAND JIM OF MOTA RAY, VIRGINIA, MIKE BOYER AND WIFE CHERYL OF CADET, TERRY BOYER AND WIFE ANN OF CADET, SEVEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND SPOUSE SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY FOUR BROTHERS, EVERETT, BILL, EARL AND BERNARD PASHIA, THREE SISTERS, ELIEEN EMILY, GENEVIEVE THEBEAU, LUCY J. BOYER AND BY HER DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, DORIS BOYER.
DOREEN WAS A MEMBER OF THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH. DURING DOREEN'S LIFE SHE TRAVELED DOWN MANY DIFFERENT ROADS, THROUGH MANY VALLEYS AND SAW MANY HIGHLIGHTS DURING HER LIFETIME. SHE ENJOYED MANY OF LIFE'S GIFTS, ESPECIALLY THE GIFT OF MOTHER NATURE WHERE SHE ENJOYED FISHING, HUNTING AND HORSES.
SHE WAS A KIND AND LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, GREAT GRANDMOTHER AND SPECIAL FRIEND, SHE WILL BE SADLY MISSED AND LOVINGLY REMEMBERED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER.
VISITATION WAS HELD TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2000, FROM 2:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
A FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2000, AT 10:00 A.M. AT ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH WITH FATHER TED PIEPER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN ST. JOACHIM CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, TOM BOYER, C.D. JOHNSON, KENNY GEORGE BOYER, JIM BOYER, MIKE BOYER AND DONNIE BOYER.
