Glen S. Boyer of Potosi, Missouri was born on Sunday, October 26, 1930 in Old Mines, Missouri a son of the late Edna Lee (Hall) Boyer and Walter Patrick Boyer. Glen departed this life on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-six years, three months and eight days.
Glen was united in marriage to Virginia Benson on May 27, 1950 in Potosi, Missouri.
Glen is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Boyer of Potosi, Missouri; one daughter, Chris Gibson and husband Ray of Potosi, Missouri; five sons, Tom Boyer and wife Sindy of Cuba, Missouri, Glenwood Boyer and wife Linda of House Springs, Missouri, Dennis Boyer and wife Lisa of Potosi, Missouri, Tony Boyer and wife Angie of Potosi, Missouri, Alan Boyer of Potosi, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Walter Boyer, three brothers, Billy Boyer, Freddie Boyer and Samuel Blaine Boyer.
Glen was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Potosi, Missouri. He enjoyed visiting with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved to tinker with small engines and collecting die cast cars. Glen also enjoyed just sitting around outside looking at the flowers and birds. Glen will be very deeply missed by his many family and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, February 6, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Brother Carl Wilson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Woody Boyer, Eric Boyer, James Boyer, Leo Lindell, James Deckert and Tim Heath.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
