Alma June Boyer of Potosi, Missouri formerly of St. Louis County, Missouri was born on Saturday, July 7, 1934 in Potosi, Missouri a daughter of the late, William S. Nicholson and Mae (Dotson) Maxwell. June departed this life on August 15, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri surrounded by the Love and Care of her husband and children. June was seventy-eight years, one month and eight days of age.
June was united in marriage to John J. Boyer on March 30, 1953 at the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri and this union was blessed with four children.
June is survived by her loving husband, John J. Boyer of Potosi, Missouri; one daughter, Tammy Juliette and husband, Richard “Dick” of Cadet, Missouri; three sons, Rick Boyer and wife, Lisa of Aurora, Missouri, Bruce Boyer and wife, Catherine of Mineral Point, Missouri, Kirk Boyer and wife, Cindy of Spring Hill, Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by five sisters, Helen Halley, Mary Leah Boyer, Mabel Lou Tinker, Chloe E. Buxton, Edith F. Mercer and one brother, Stanley Nicholson.
June always counted her blessings and realized each of them came from her Lord and Savior; she had received the Sacraments of the sick from her Parish Priest, Reverend Joe Welschmeyer, during her stay at Mercy Hospital. When June resided in Potosi she was very active with St. James Catholic Church and School. June served her Lord and fellow parishioners as Vice-President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Treasurer of PTA and a PSR Teacher, plus numerous other capacities. In her later years she returned to college and after graduating with honors she was employed at Washington University in St. Louis in the Accounting Services department where she retired from in 1999.
June loved spending time with her family and cherished the moments spent with each of them. She was a remarkable person, not only for her longevity, but also for the intensity and clarity of focus with which she lived her life. She will always be remembered for the love she shared.
Visitation was held Friday, August 17, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and also Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri. Reverend Joe Welschmeyer held a prayer vigil Friday, August 17, 2012.
A Funeral Mass was conducted Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Joe Welschmeyer officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Lance Boyer, Bradley Boyer, Mike Thebeau, Bill Long, Dennis Mercer and Don Mercer.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
