Paul J. Boyer of Potosi, Missouri was born on Sunday, April 20, 1930 in Cadet, Missouri a son of the late, Mary (Kasban) Boyer and Wilford “Ford” Boyer. Paul departed this life on Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty years, six months and twenty-three days.

Paul was united in marriage to Dorothy A. (DeClue) Yarbrough on April 18, 2009 at St. Joachim Church, Old Mines, Missouri.

Paul is survived by his wife, Dorothy Yarbrough of Potosi, Missouri; two sons, Paul Boyer, Jr. and wife, Nina of Henley, Missouri; Jon Boyer and wife, Becky of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Marie Cowley of Imperial, Missouri; one brother, Clifford Boyer and wife, Lucille of Kingman, Arizona; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends including good friends, Dr. Joe Huck, Dr. J. Paul Tindall and many friends in California. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by four brothers, Lewis Boyer, Wilford Boyer, Charlie Boyer and Francis Boyer.

Paul was a member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri. He enjoyed creating gardens in their yard and was always inventing all types of new ideas, especially the Rey Bo game to assist youngsters to learn healthy and active lifestyles. He also enjoyed traveling, driving his motor home across the United States. Paul was an avid fisherman, always fishing on the Huzzah with family members and salmon fishing in Alaska. He found great joy in assisting many people with his motivational speaking.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, November 15, 2010 at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Clayton Boyer, Chris Boyer, Adam Boyer, Paul Boyer, Gil Kennon, Nick Kennon and Jim Berkbigler.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
