Shirley Ann Boyer of Potosi, Missouri was born on August 21, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri a daughter of the late, Esther (Drennen) Rhode and Lawrence Palmer. Shirley departed this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-four years, three months and fifteen days.
Shirley was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Boyer on December 23, 1978 in Potosi, Missouri.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Boyer of Potosi, Missouri; one daughter, Denise Kean of Caledonia, Missouri; two sons, Stacy Woods and wife, Sharon of Mineral Point, Missouri, Tracy Parks of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, one great-grandchildren; also surviving are good friends, Mary Jane Nash and Troy and Dorothy Link.
Shirley was a very generous kindhearted woman who loved animals and was always taking care of stray animals. She enjoyed listening to music and going to yard sales. Shirley’s greatest joy was her family and friends who she loved very deeply. She will be loved and remembered by all her family and friends.
Memorial visitation was held Friday, December 9, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Memorial Service was held Friday, December 9, 2011 at 8:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Reverend Don Strauser officiating.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
