Timothy Dale Boyer of Old Mines, Missouri departed this life at the St. Louis University Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at the age of Thirty-eight Years, Ten Months and Nine Days. Tim was born Tuesday, January 4, 1966 in Potosi, Missouri a son of Myrna Rose (Higgins) Boyer and the late Glennon John Boyer.
Tim is survived by his mother, Myrna Rose Boyer of Old Mines, Missouri; one daughter, Kayla Gayle Boyer of Cadet, Missouri; one son Brandon Timothy Boyer of Cadet, Missouri; three sisters, Eyvonne Emily and husband Ron of Mineral Point, Missouri, Lynne Schrum and husband Tim of Cadet, Missouri, Melissa Portell and husband D.J. of Cadet, Missouri; six brothers, Larry Boyer and wife Brenda of Mineral Point, Missouri, Glen R. Boyer and wife Judy of Cadet, Missouri, Roger Boyer and wife Anita of Cadet, Missouri, Michael Boyer and wife Kendra of Park Hills, Missouri, Scott Boyer and wife Christy of Fredericktown, Missouri, Jason Boyer and wife Dina of Cadet, Missouri and by many other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his father, Tim is also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Boyer and Chuck Boyer.
Tim enjoyed being in the out of doors and was a landscaper by trade. He loved to work in an area and see the changes made by his labor.
Tim had a great love for his children and cherished every moment spent with them. He would stop anything he was doing to be with them or go to them. He loved family gatherings and enjoyed playing drums or just getting together for a jam session. Tim enjoyed all types of music. Tim had a great passion for drag racing and classic cars. He would work on them and then work on them again. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the race track and the car show.
Tim had a great love for life, his memories will continue through the thoughts of each of us. Share a smile and share the memory of him.
Visitation was held Tuesday, November 16, 2004 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, November 17, 2004 from 8:30 AM to 9:40 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, November 16, 2004 conducted by the family with T.C. Harl performing a drum solo in Tim’s memory.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper celebrating. Music was provided by the St. Joachim Church Choir.
Final Blessings and Burial was in the St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Brothers Larry Boyer, Glen Roy Boyer, Roger Boyer, Michael Boyer, Scott Boyer and Jason Boyer. Following the services the family and friends gathered at the Springtown Baptist Church, Springtown, Missouri where a luncheon was provided.
Services were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
