Rachael Boyster

April 27, 1936 — March 21, 2013

Rachael Mildred Boyster of Cadet departed this life on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri surrounded by the love and care of her family, and she was Seventy-six years, ten months and twenty-two days of age. Rachael was born on Monday, April 27, 1936 in Blackwell, Missouri a daughter of the late Alice Dora (DeClue) Lucas and Leslie Jackson Lucas.

Rachael is survived by two daughters, Sharon Edmonds of Cadet and Kathy Burton of St. Louis; two sons, Richard Boyster and wife Trish of Fenton and Terry Boyster of Potosi; three sisters, Bonnie Box and husband David of Bourbon, Judy Gedenberg of Farmington and Sue Coleman and husband James of Old Mines; three brothers, Jesse Lucas and wife Evelyn of St. Clair, Jule Lucas of St. Clair and Frankie Lucas of Stanton; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, the father of her children, Robert Boyster of Cadet and by many other dear and special relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Boyster; four sisters, Janet Warthen and her husband Merl, Nettie Pettus and her husband Ronnie, Sharon Lucas and Rose Lucas; two brothers, Joseph “Bennie” Lucas and Harvey Lucas.

Rachael enjoyed reading old romance novels. She had a great love for playing bingo with her many friends. She would relax on the computer playing games. She always look forward to mushroom season, she loved to go mushroom hunting and come back with her find of them and wild onions and cook a meal of mushrooms, wild onions and eggs for all to enjoy.

She had the greatest love for her family. Each of them held a very dear and special place in her heart and life. Her eyes would twinkle and her face would light up with the greatest glow and smile when the grandchildren and great grandchildren would show up. She always had a hug and kiss for all.

Her many memories and her love shall live on all the days, through each of our own memories, as we share them with all.

Visitation and sharing of memories was held Monday, March 25, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service was held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Wade officiating. Musical selections played were “The Old Rugged Cross”, “Amazing Grace” and “Come to Jesus”.

Final Prayers and Burial was held at the Horine Cemetery in Richwoods. Honoring the family and the life of Rachael, Terry Boyster, Matthew Edmonds, Nick Burton, Dustin Woltering, David Box and Tim Henson served as Pallbearers.

Services were under the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
