Wanda Leah Breakfield
Wanda Leah Breakfield of Potosi, Missouri was born Thursday, July 3, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri. Wanda was the daughter of Lettie Evans. Wanda departed this life at the Potosi Manor, Potosi, Missouri Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at the age of Seventy-nine Years, Ten Months and Nine Days.
Wanda was united in marriage to Cowell Breakfield. Cowell preceded her in death December 19, 1990.
Wanda is survived by three loving and devoted daughters, Mary Goodson and husband Rocky of Potosi, Missouri, Jane Prier and husband Ken of Eagle Rock, Missouri and Susan Savage and husband Ray of Burns, Kansas; One son Thomas Cheatham and wife Joyce of DeSoto, Missouri; Three grandchildren, Amanda, Ramsey and Abigail Goodson of Potosi, Missouri and by many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was also preceded in death by two sons, Freddie and Wayne Breakfield and one grandson, Dylan Ray Goodson.
Wanda enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved to spend time at birthday parties and all the other family gatherings. Wanda loved to go to the creek and have a cook out with everyone.
Wanda had a great love for her family and friends, each of them held a very dear and special place in her heart.
Visitation was held Friday, May 14, 2004 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, May 15, 2004 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Reverend Tom Slovensky. Musical selections played were “Who Am I”, “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art”.
Final prayers and burial was in the Grassy Hollow Cemetery, Shirley, Missouri.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark St., Potosi, Missouri.
