DARRELL J. BREWER OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN MAY 13, 1928, IN PALMER, MISSOURI, A SON OF LEWIS AND LEONA (MURPHY) BREWER. DARRELL DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT HIS RESIDENCE ON AUGUST 21, 2001, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY-THREE YEARS, THREE MONTHS AND EIGHT DAYS.
DARRELL WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO HELEN PASHIA ON JANUARY 13, 1951, IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI, AND WERE BLESSED WITH SEVEN CHILDREN.
DARRELL IS SURVIVED BY HIS LOVING AND DEVOTED WIFE, HELEN BREWER OF POTOSI, FIVE DAUGHTERS, LINDA ROBBINS AND HUSBAND DONNIE OF ARNOLD, JAN BREWER OF ARNOLD, NANCY ZAY OF ARNOLD, PAM ALONZO AND HUSBAND STEVEN OF ST. LOUIS, MICHELE LONGLAND AND HUSBAND NICK OF ST. LOUIS, TWO SONS, WAYNE BREWER AND WIFE ELANA OF ARNOLD, DENNIS BREWER AND WIFE SUSAN OF DESOTO, TWELVE GRANDCHILDREN, THREE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, ONE BROTHER, DONALD BREWER AND WIFE ROSE OF CUBA AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. DARRELL WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS, LEWIS AND LEONA BREWER, FOUR SISTERS, RUBY GOODSON, HAZEL HARMON, MARY BLAIR AND VELMA LEWIS, FIVE BROTHERS, CARSON, MELVIN, ALFRED, ISAAC AND VIRGIL LEWIS.
DARRELL LOVED TO TAKE TIME AND RIDE HIS FOUR WHEELER WITH HIS FAMILY. HE HAD A GREAT LOVE AND TOOK GREAT PRIDE IN RE-BUILDING FORD BRONCO'S. HE WAS A MASTER TINKER, ALWAYS TINKERING ON ANYTHING THAT NEEDED HIS TOUCH. HE LOOKED FORWARD TO THE WEEKEND WHEN HIS FAMILY WOULD GATHER FOR A BAR B QUE, PLAYING WASHERS OR JUST A FUN GATHERING AT THE HOUSE. HE ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE TIME SPENT WITH EACH OF HIS GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN..
DARRELL WAS A KIND AND LOVING HUSBAND, A STRONG FATHER, CHERISHED GRANDFATHER, GREAT GRANDFATHER, DEAR BROTHER AND BROTHER-IN-LAW AND A FRIEND TO ALL.
VISITATION WAS HELD THURSDAY, AUGUST 23, 2001, FROM 1:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
A FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED FRIDAY, AUGUST 24, 2001, AT 9:30 A.M. AT ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH WITH FATHER GEORGE GALOVICH AND FATHER TED PIEPER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN CALVARY CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, WAYNE BLAIR, JIM BREWER, RICK HARRISON, JEFF PASHIA, DONNIE ROBBINS AND MIKE ROBBINS.
