Fred Brown of East St. Louis, Missouri was born Saturday, October 4, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri a son of the late Helen (Quest) Brown and Walter Brown. Fred departed this life Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, Illinois at the age of Sixty-three years, five months and Four days.
Fred was united in marriage to Janet L. Richardson on July 4, 1969 in Waterloo, Illinois. They were blessed to have six children born to the union.
Fred is survived by his wife Janet Brown of East St. Louis, Illinois; three daughters, Penny Brown, Pamela Holley and Robin Brown all of St. Louis, Missouri; two sons, Freddie Brown, Jr. And wife Laura of St. Louis, Missouri, Aaron Brown and wife Lynn of Wentzville, Missouri; one sister Janet Whitelaw and husband Jim of St. Peters, Missouri; Nineteen grandchildren; Three great grandchildren and by many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Fred was also preceded in death by one son, Walley Brown.
Fred loved his profession as an Iron worker and was very dedicated to it. He loved to spend time building iron fences, pins, working at the schools do iron work or just tinkering making a special item. He enjoyed cutting and splitting wood. He had a passion for photography and enjoyed clicking the camera at many sites and family gatherings.
Visitation was held Friday, March 11, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, March 12, 2005 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Irondale, Missouri with Father George Galovich officiating.
Burial was in the Big River Cemetery, Irondale, Missouri. Arrangements were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 104 Oak Street, Irondale, Missouri.
