Elizabeth Bunch of Potosi, Missouri was born Saturday, January 19, 1918 in Potosi, Missouri a daughter of the late Laura (Morgan) Parmley and Ladon Parmley. Elizabeth departed this life on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Potosi Manor Care Center in Potosi at the age of Ninety-three years, eight months and three days.
Elizabeth was united in marriage to the James Edward Bunch in Potosi, Missouri on February 13, 1936. James preceded her in death on March 26, 1981.
Elizabeth is survived by three granddaughters, Debbie Naeger of Belleville, Illinois, Barbara Copeland and husband Willy of Potosi, Missouri, Linda Ward and husband Raymond of DeSoto, Missouri; six great grandchildren, Sarah Copeland and Fiancé Jeremy Geyer, Nickolas Copeland, Cody Naeger, Shannon Naeger, Heather Coleman and Alis` Politteand husband Jared; six great great grandchildren, Caitlin Geyer, Alexis Geyer, Kayla Lemons, Addison Tilson, Kendra Murphy and Kali Brown; one sister, Grace Green and husband Curley of St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers, Luther Parmley and wife Geneva of St. Louis, Missouri and Floyd Parmley and wife Kathleen of Irondale, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Red Parmley and Mardale Parmley; one brother-in-law, John Patterson; dear and special friends, Judy and Eugene Neff and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and special friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was also preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Jean Wren, two sons, James E. Bunch and Donald W. Bunch, three sisters, Bertha Lee Patterson, Mary Wright and Barbara Kostecki, two brothers, Robert Parmley and Raymond Parmley.
Elizabeth was a long time employee of Brown Shoe Company. She had a great love for her family and friends and always loved spending time with all visiting and sharing memories. She enjoyed crocheting and you could always find her in the springtime preparing her flower and vegetable garden for the growing season. She was a very energetic lady who loved to go shopping and to yard sales. She was always ready to attend an auction or flea market.
Elizabeth was a very kind loving lady who always had an open ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on and a loving hug to make one feel loved. Her energy always seemed to move to those around her and brighten up the day.
Visitation was held Sunday, September 25, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral Service was held Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Arrangements were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
