Hubert Wayne Burns of Potosi, Missouri was born on Sunday, March 3, 1963 in Dallas Texas and departed this life on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 having reached the age of fifty years, four months and six days.
Wayne was united in marriage to Penny East on December 27, 1991 in Dallas, Texas.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Penny Burns of Potosi, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Johnnette Woodruff and Jesse Pippin of Potosi, Missouri, one stepson, Cary Woodruff and fiancé, Ashley Smith of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Dianne Case of Scurry, Texas; one brother, Gary Burns of Mesquite, Texas; six grandchildren, Danielle, Zachary, Carra, Alyson, Hunter and L. Jesse; special niece, Shanna Maryfield and husband, John of Texas; nieces, Victoria and Allison Maryfield, nephew, Christian; mother-in-law, Dana Essmyer of Bonne Terre, Missouri; one sister-in-law, BJ Essmyer and family; two brothers-in-law, Daniel East and family, Graylan East and family; also surviving are many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel (Sandifer) Burns, four sisters, Linda Canaday, Gwen Duncan, Jackie Hogeland, one infant baby and one brother, Mark Benjamin Burns.
Wayne enjoyed listening to country and classic rock music and watching court television. He loved his family, friends and kitty cats. Wayne also enjoyed spending time outdoors working in his yard. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral Service was held Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Brother Harry Gamble officiating.
Moore Funeral Homes was Honored to be selected to guide and direct the services for Mr. Burns.
