Marjorie Lou Bust of Potosi, Missouri, was born November 14, 1928, in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter of the late Edward M. and Aurelia (Cordia) Bust. Margie departed this life January 8, 2019, having reached the age of 90 Years, 1 Month and 25 Days.
Margie is survived by good friends and caregivers, Bud Bowen, Sharon Bourbon and husband Billy, Kayla Long and husband AJ, Megan Harmon and husband Dalton, Matthew Bourbon and wife Stef and by many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Margie was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Michael Bust and Edward Joseph Bust and by a special friend, Ellen Bowen.
Margie Lou graduated from Potosi High School in 1946, after high school she obtained her Bachelor of Science in education from Southeast Missouri State University. She continued her education at University of Missouri where she received her Master’s Degree in Health and Physical Education.
Margie Lou was a longtime educator dedicating 30 years to her beloved profession, as a teacher, coach and department head at Kirkwood R-7 School District.
Margie Lou enjoyed traveling with her friends, a good game of bridge and following politics. She spent years researching her family’s genealogy and Washington County history.
Margie Lou received the Sacrament of Anointing of the sick from the hand of Father Fleming, who visited her bedside on January 3, 2019.
