Mark Bust of Dallas, Texas was born on Wednesday, January 12, 1955 in Bonne Terre, Missouri a son of the late, Marilyn (Moore) Bust and William H. “Jack” Bust. Mark departed this life on Saturday, October 30, 2010 having reached the age of fifty-five years, nine months and eighteen days.
Mark is survived by one daughter, Claire Elizabeth Bust and her mother, Lynna (Thurman) Bust of Dallas, Texas, Missouri; one sister, Deborah Bust of Potosi, Missouri; two brothers, Robin Bust of Dallas, Texas, Brock Von Bust of Potosi, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and friends.
Mark was president of his senior graduating class of 1973 and graduated from Drury College, Springfield, Missouri in 1977. In 1972 he was a camp counselor for YMCA in Winthrop, Maine and a wilderness camp counselor in Colorado. He was also a past Boy Scout of America Troop # 409. Mark worked for G.A.F. in Little Rock, Arkansas and later became the owner of Forest Hills Homes in Dallas, Texas. On August 17, 1994 Mark had a construction accident that left him a quadriplegic. Mark had a great will for life and people; his attitude and spirit inspired everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
Visitation was held Friday, November 5, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Potosi Presbyterian Church, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Thirza Sayers officiating. Honoring Mark serving as Pallbearers were Kris Anderson, Bob Peterson, Steve Lamberti, Clay Loomis, Kelly Silvey and Jack Dunlap.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to the Reeve Foundation in memory of Mark Bust, 636 Morris Turnpike, Suite 3Aw, Short Hills, New Jersey 07078.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
