Alma Othella Cain of Waterloo, Illinois was born on June 28, 1924 in Worthem, Missouri a daughter of the late, Delphia (Spur) Rasnic and James Guy Rasnic. Alma departed this life on Saturday, October 19, 2013 having reached the age of eighty-nine years.
She was united in marriage to William Earnest Cain on September 18, 1945 in Imperial, Missouri.
Alma is survived by one daughter, Jane and husband Michael Wood of Columbia, Illinois; four grandchildren, Mike Wood II, Daniel and Celia Wood, Melissa and Adam Gaitsch, Kimberly Wood; nine great-grandchildren; also surviving are sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Hope Christian Church, Columbia, Illinois.
A Funeral Service was held at Hope Christian Church at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 23, 2013, Pastor Dennis Jones officiating.
Interment was held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Big River Cemetery, Irondale, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Mike Wood II, Daniel Wood, Jeremy Veath, Rick McCoy and James Daniels.
Moore Funeral Homes was Honored to be selected to direct the services for Alma, her family and friends.
